BLACK WOMEN CINEMA WEEK 2020 (BWCW2020) 
​November 9-13, 2020 *Virtual Event
For CR8:BLK's 2nd Annual Black Women Cinema Week (BWCW 2020) we are doing something different. In lieu of the global pandemic of COVID-19, CR8:BLK is hosting Black Women Cinema Week 2020 (BWCW2020) online! A collections of short films will be a part of BWCW2020 and a special weekly online program that will air on CR8:BLK's website and CR8:BLK's Instagram account during November 9-13, 2020 FREE to the public. We are looking forward to connecting filmmakers with online panels, discussions, and workshops.

Schedule and Program for BWCW2020 "DEFINITION" ​


CR8:BLK’s 2nd Annual Black Women Cinema Week (BWCW 2020) is about celebrating the voices of Black women artists from around the world and have them share how they define what it means to be Black woman artist (filmmaker) and how they want to define the work they create. This is an inclusive online event to celebrate the work of Black Women filmmakers and creatives. A collection of short films will be screened on CR8:BLK’s website www.cr8blk.org for BWCW2020 on November 9-13, 2020.

Remind, Remember is a multidisciplinary work that serves as an exercise in shifting the internal voice. This piece is a celebration of cultural practice, healing work and grief. Through movement, sound, and design the collaborators explore our imminent proximity to death.
